| Did you get a code 55 on the ECU when you checked? I had that same problem and the car wouldn't get over 6psi or so. I rooted around the harness and discovered this culprit: 
It was just enough to set off the code and put it in safety boost. This is the info I went by when I fixed mine:

(Bernie NoVa sells a relocate kit too in classifieds.) It was like night and day difference, and a piece of cake to do. It is not a long term solution because the det sensor needs to be in the proper place, but I am considering pulling the motor this winter and I'll put it back then. Good luck!
